Tip: One way to find out what your market is already buying is by going to Amazon.com. Just type in your keywords (like “car restoration” or “golf”) and take note of the bestselling books, which appear at the top of the search results.

Do you see a pattern? If you see several books on the same topic, then that’s a clue that it could be a profitable topic.

2. Write the Report. You don’t have to write a novel. Instead, all you’re doing is writing a little 7-15 page report. That’s because the key is to create a low-priced product that will easily pull people into your sales funnel.

3. Promote It. Your next step is to promote this product using as many advertising venues as possible. This includes:

·         Getting affiliates and joint venture partners.

·         Telling your friends, mailing lists and social media contacts about your report.

·         Blogging about it.

·         Using article marketing (such as by submitting articles to EzineArticles.com).

·         Using forum marketing.

·         Using search engine marketing (including both pay per click marketing and search engine optimization).

4. Sell More to Your Existing Customers. Use the above traffic and advertising methods and soon you’ll have sales pouring in. Believe it or not, while these frontend sales are profitable, this isn’t the “real” money for this model.

Instead, the real money is on the backend, which is when you recommend more products and more expensive products to your existing customers. These could be other products you create, or you can promote affiliate products.

You see, it’s easier to sell more products to a satisfied existing customer than it is to go find a new customer. And you don’t have to spend a penny to do it. All you have to do is send an email to your existing customers that includes product recommendations and links.

The bigger your customer list, the more money you’ll make with every email you send!
