Writing For Money!

Picture

Do you like writing? Has anyone ever told you that you’re a pretty decent writer or even a good story teller?

If so, then you can turn your words into cash by becoming a freelance writer!

This is another one of those money-making methods that’s incredibly easy to deploy – indeed, you can get started today.

It doesn’t matter if you’ve never written for money before. You don’t need to have a writing degree, you don’t need to be a published author and you don’t even need any particular credentials.

All you need is your computer and a desire to succeed!

Here’s how to do it using the Freelancer W.R.I.T.E.R. system

WWeigh Your Options. You could be a “Jack of All Trades” if you wanted to. However, you’ll likely make more money if you specialize in one or two different types of writing.

First, you can specialize by niche.

Examples:

·         Health-related niches.

·         Animal-related niches.

·         Gardening niches.

Secondly, you can specialize by type of service. For example, you can focus on creating:

·         Ebooks and reports.

·         Articles and blog posts.

·         Sales materials (such as sales letters and classified ads).

R – Receive Payment. Now that you have your specialization, your next step is to figure out how to accept payments from customers.

This part doesn’t have to be complicated. If you use a freelancing site like Elance.com, then you can accept payment through their escrow system. Otherwise, you can use a common third-party payment processor like PayPal.com.

I – Identify Clients. Your next step is to find clients. You do this in a variety of ways, including:

·         Bidding on jobs on Elance.com and other freelancing sites.

·         Posting your ads on sites like WarriorForum.com.

·         Posting ads on CraigsList.org.

·         Finding partners who’ll endorse and market your business.

And more. Cast a wide net, and you’ll have more clients than you can handle.

T – Take Inventory of Needs. Now that the clients are coming in, you need to figure out what they want. Generally, this means asking the right questions so that the end product meets if not exceeds their expectations.

E – Execute the Work Order. The key to getting repeat business is to satisfy your customers. And you do this by:

·         Providing exceptional work. Again, meeting if not exceeding expectations is key.

·         Meeting deadlines. (Beating the deadline is even better.)

·         Communicating regularly so that they know what’s going on with their project.

R – Reach Your Potential. Follow the steps outlined above, and you’ll end up with a nice chunk of change in your pocket. But if you want to turn these freelance gigs into a profitable career, then you’ll need to take it to the next level. You can do that by:

·         Upsell by asking for bigger orders from customers.

Example: If someone orders a lead-generating report, you can offer to do the squeeze page copy or the autoresponder series.

·         Ask for referrals.

·         Fire your bad customers.

And more. Point is, you need to seek out ways to make more money while saving yourself time.

Again, this is just an overview of the W.R.I.T.E.R. system. It’s enough to get your started, but what you’ve learned here won’t be quite enough to create a full time income for you.
